Grand Hotel’s wine cellar is one of the foremost in Sweden and includes bottles from around the world. The internationally recognised wine publication Wine Spectator has awarded the Grand’s wine cellar its diploma ‘Best Award of Excellence’.

Amongst the exciting finds that are concealed in the Grand’s wine cellar a French wine deserves special mention: Château Mouton-Rothschild, Bordeaux. The owner of the vineyard, Philippe de Rothschild (died 1988) celebrated the end of the war by decorating the wine label for 1945-year’s production with a V for Victory sign. He continued with new illustrated wine labels every year and hired well-known artists e.g. Picasso, Miró, Chagall and Per Kirkeby. Grand has a complete collection of Mouton-Rothschild from 1945 up to the present.
