”The security issue is a globally imperative one. It has also assumed priority when people come to choose a hotel. The number of companies whose greatest asset is their personnel is ever increasing. At the same time, many hotels are investing heavily in the safety and security of their guests.
The global standard for hotel security is unique since the security level at hotels increases in line with the demands of business travellers. Safehotels is a hotel and conference centre audit scheme that has been under development for more than two years, in collaboration with Pinkerton Consulting & Investigations, the world’s oldest and most respected security company.”
Grand Hotel and its sister hotel, Hotel Lundia, were the first in the region to complete the security certification, achieved in January 2007.
“The vision that inspired Swedish ‘Svanen’ eco-labelling is a sustainable society where future generations have the same good preconditions and opportunities as we do. An important step towards realising this vision is that we all select the most eco-sensitive products with the aid of environmental marking. For this very reason choose eco-labelled products and services and take a step toward a better future.”
Grand Hotel has had a ‘Swan marking’ since 2003.
SVENSKA MÖTEN (Swedish meetings)
”Our members are selected in accordance with what they are able to offer in terms of the environment, accommodation, food and activities. Handpicked to offer the best preconditions for meetings and conferences around Sweden. And brought together to make your choice easier – when you know we have already separated the wheat from the chaff.”
Grand Hotel has been selected by Svenska Möten since 2007.
“Many chefs here are proud of Skåne’s food traditions. This is something that we wish to maintain, develop and show off. This was the inspiration behind ‘Skånska Matupplevelser’ [Skåne Food Experiences] and at present 27 restaurants are certified. In simple terms, these incorporate the very best of Skåne including inns, gourmet restaurants and some of the Nordic region’s best chefs. Centre-stage is of course the food from Skåne and its fantastic raw materials. Those restaurants and inns that are included have a strong profile but there is a desire also to develop food traditions and this preferably together with other restaurateurs.”
Grand Hotel is featured in ‘Skånska Matupplevelser’ since 2003.
